The main objective of this dissertation is to investigate the effects of fiscal policy on economic activity in Republic of Macedonia, for the time period 2000 - 2015. Moreover, three main analyzed approaches were covered in my thesis: firstly, the effects of productive and unproductive expenditures on real GDP and effects of distortionary and non-distortionary revenues on real GDP by covering quarterly data for time spin 2000 -2015; underlying positive effects of productive and significant expenditures on real GDP and positive and insignificant effects of distortionary revenues on real GDP, secondly, the causal relationship between public revenues and expenditures was determined in Macedonia by utilizing quarterly data for the analyzed time period, underlying the existence of unidirectional causality between public revenues and expenditures, running from revenues to expenditures causing a debate regarding the presence of tax-spend hypothesis or fiscal illusion hypothesis; finally, the effects of tax change regime were investigated on economic activity in Macedonia, suggesting that the tax change regime did not satisfy the planned objectives, resulting negative and insignificant effect of the dummy variable, for the period when applied flat tax rate (2007 -2015), compared to progressive tax rate (2000 -2006). In addition, such results recommend the Macedonian policymakers for an urgent and depth change in the expansionary fiscal policy and tax regime, as well as immediate intervention in the public debt and fiscal deficit, taking into consideration the diminishment of fiscal space. Keywords: public revenues, public expenditures, economic growth, SVAR, VECM, Granger causality.Record link: https://library.seeu.edu.mk/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=18146 Copies

Most companies / organizations find useful Six Sigma methods to the Project Management tools resulting on advantages. Many of the methodologies directed by PMBOK and Six Sigma have a great deal in common: both seek to identify and communicate with the Stakeholders; conduct reviews and to manage schedule, cost and resources. Six Sigma is not "just another" Project Management initiative or process improvement program. It is the process that seeks and looks forward to continuous improvement of strategies and processes that include the cultural and statistical methodologies. Project Management attempts to achieve improvement goals by embracing best practices on a project basis through the mechanism of a project that complies to policy, appropriate use of tools as critical path and performs project reviews. Many Project Management methods have because of the effectiveness of the methodology couldn't be measured by process changes. This study examines the elasticity of demand and its impact on the students’ enrollment, i.e., it tends to look into the change in the price throughout the years, and it also deals with the problems and causes that lead to a decrease or increase the number of students in the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) in South East European University. The tuition fee can have a direct impact on the students’ decision of whether to enroll to this university, or to choose the one with a lower or eventually higher tuition fee. The faculty of business and economics is strongly related with the practical work experience, therefore spending three or four years of theoretical study without practice can be a waste of time for most of the students. The Shanghai Ranking, which measures the quality of the university, to a large number of high school students is also the key factor for enrollment. This study implemented survey methodology for primary data collection by using the questionnaire to produce data that correspond with our research questions. In order to measure the high-school students’ responses, 147 anonymous questionnaires in three different high schools were distributed. The regression analyses assisted us in determining whether the relation between the ordinal variables is positive or negative. Thus, it has become possible to either verify or overthrow the claims in the hypothesis. Finally, the stand supported in this thesis is that the tuition fees, the practical work experience offered by the university as well as the predisposition to improve the Shanghai Ranking can represent a strong and positive change in the number of students enrolled in FBE.Link for e-copy: https://repository.seeu.edu.mk/sites/thesis/ThesisSharedDocs/MA_119999.pdf Record link: https://library.seeu.edu.mk/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=20381 Copies
