Rajoni i Pollogut është njëri nga tetë rajonet planore në Republikën e Maqedonisë së Veriut. Ky rajon përfshin dy komuna me seli në qytet dhe dy komuna me seli në fshat. Ndonëse i dyti për nga numri i popullsisë, rajoni i Pollogut është ndër rajonet më të vogla për nga shtrirja territoriale në vend. Territori i tij është i kufizuar gjeografikisht nga kufijtë natyror që e bëjnë Pollogun një rajon me territor kompakt. Nga ana tjetër ky rajon karakterizohet me një diversitet të veçantë etnik dhe fetar të popullsisë. Në fakt, në këtë rajon gërshetohen së paku disa kultura që janë zhvilluar historikisht krah njëra tjetrës por në mënyrë paralele dhe si të veçanta. Synimi primarë i disertacionit të magjistraturës është të ofrohet një analizë e thuktë e të gjitha aspekteve socio-ekonomike që e bëjnë rajonin e Pollogut të veçantë. Pra, bëhet fjalë për një punim që është enkas i fokusuar në rajonin e Pollogut, dhe që synon të ofrojë një kornizë të thuktë mbi të cilën mundet të ndërtohen një varg i studimeve specifike nga kjo lëmi lidhur me këtë rajon, e pse jo të shërbejë edhe si mostër për ndërtim të analizave të ngjashme të rajoneve tjera në Republikën e Maqedonisë së Veriut. Abstract
The Polog region is one of the eight planning regions in the Republic of North Macedonia. This region includes tëo urban-based municipalities and tëo rural-based municipalities. Although second in terms of population, the Polog region is among the smallest regions in terms of territorial extent in the country. Its territory is geographically limited by the natural borders that make Polog a region ëith a compact territory. On the other hand this region is characterized by a special ethnic and religious diversity of the population. In fact, in this region are intertëined several cultures that have historically developed side by side but in parallel and as separate. The primary aim of the master's dissertation is to provide a thorough analysis of all socio-economic aspects that make the Polog region special. So, this is a paper that is specifically focused on the Polog region, and that aims to provide an in-depth frameëork on which to build a series of specific studies in this area related to this region, and why not serve also as a sample for construction of similar analyzes of other regions in the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
