This twenty-fourth edition has been constructed on the foundations of the editions before with a number of changes to the contents, subject, as ever, to space constraints, and helpful advice form the editorial support team in OUP. A minor Treaty change is the inclusion of the amendments to Protocol 36 on transitional measures. To the Institutions section, I've added what is really a small but milestone Regulation which heralds the changing of the order or passing of the baton from the printed version of the OJ being for 61 years ‘the only official version of the OJ to the electronic version being the only official version as from 1 July 2013.This is, of course, a perfectly understandable, logical, and inevitable change. It does though remind me of the days and weeks I used to spend from 1989 when compiling the first edition and updating it for a number of years, sitting in a European Documentation Centre leafing through more than a year’s supply of volumes of the Official Journal for new and amending EC laws. It’s when I discovered numerous Regulations on the organization of the market in lupins! I wondered why on earth????... which was sufficient excuse for a much needed diversion from thousands of pages of OJ to find that out? | Contents note: | Primary legislation; General provisions on the union’s external action; Specific provisions on the common foreign and security policy; The customs union; Customs cooperation; Prohibition of quantitative restrictions; Workers; Right of establishment; Services; Capital and payments; General provisions; Policies on border checks, asylum and immigration; Judicial cooperation in civil matters; Judicial cooperation in criminal matters; Police cooperation; Rules on competition; Tax provisions; Economic policy; Monetary policy; Institutional provisions; Provisions specific to member states whose currency is the euro; Transitional provisions; Development cooperation; Economic, financial and technical cooperation with third countries; Humanitarian aid; The institutions; Legal acts of the union, adoption procedures and other provisions; The union’s advisory bodies; The European investment bank; Te union’s own resources; The multilingual financial framework; The union’s annual budget; Implementation of the budget and discharge; Common provisions; Combating fraud; Tables of equivalences for the treaty on European union and for the European community treaty as referred to in article 12 of the treaty of Amsterdam; Selected protocols attached to the treaties by the Lisbon treaty; Selected declarations concerning provisions of the treaties; Additional legislation and agreements affecting the institutions; The European court of justice; Secondary legislation; Free movement of goods; Free movement of persons; Social security; Social policy : equal pay and treatment; Social policy : worker protection; Competition; Consumer protection; | Record link: | https://library.seeu.edu.mk/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15829 |
