Like many teenagers, I had almost no idea of what I wanted to do when I grew up. But I did do pretty well in school, especially in mathematics and physics. Which got some of my teachers thinking that I am to go on to study science or engineering. Not able to recognize that advice when I it was staring me in the face, I did what I was told, and enrolled in engineering school. The first year went well enough, although I remember feeling in a little over my head. Early in my sophomore year, however, I had to face the fact that I simply have lost whatever interest I had in engineering. More to the point after I posted 1.3 grade average the following fall, my college was interesting question for my advisor called to say that it was time for me to try something new.
