Internet and childrenClass number: 303.483 Abstract: Ndryshe nga fëmijët dhe të rinjtë e 20 viteve më parë, tashmë të miturit në Shqipëri kanë akses pothuajse të pakufizuar në një sërë mediash dhe burimesh informacioni, vendase ose jo, tradicionale ose të reja. Spektri dhe preferencat politike të mediave ekzistuese mund të konsiderohen të plota, nga e majta në të djathtë. Në Shqipëri ekzistojnë më shumë se 20 gazeta të përditshme dhe rreth 200 organe shtypi me periodicitet të ndryshëm. Ndërkohë që deri në vitin 1995 и vetmi televizion ishte televizioni shtetrorë, tashmë në vend ka rreth 70 stacione televizive analoge dhe po aq kabllore. Edhe pse numri и radiove është më и vogël, ai sërish mbetet и konsiderueshëm, rreth 40 prej tyre. Gjithashtu, stacionet më të rëndësishme radiofonike dhe televizive transmetohen edhe në mënyra tjera përveçse analoge, të tilla si satelitore, dixhitale tokësore dhe kabllore. Shumë nga mediat kryesore kanë një prani gjithnjë e më të theksuar edhe në internet apo në kanalet e reja të mediave sociale, duke rritur akoma më shumë mundësinë për të prekur audience të reja, përveç mënyrës tradicionale.
Unlike 20 years ago, children and youth in Albania now have almost unlimited acces to series of media outlets and information sources, domestic and international, traditional and new ones. The spectrum and political alingment of existing media can be considered complete from left to right. There are more than 20 daily newspapers in Albania and about 200 print media of diverse periodicity. While until 1995 the state television was the only one, now there are approximately 70 analogue television stations in the country and the same number for cable television stations. Even though the number of radio stations is smaller, it remains considerable, with 40 radio stations scattered all over the country. In addition, the most important radio and television stations are available in several ways, such as terrestrial, satellite, and cable TV.
